Take A Stand

Will You Take a Stand Against the Wolves?

Philippians 3:8-11 “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.”

I have a question, how many churches do you know of that preach on the “fellowship of his sufferings or being made conformable unto his death”? I have to admit that most of the time all I hear are sermons about how we can “Know him and the (power) of his resurrection”, which has led to so many people being taken in by the wolves. The gospel I see in the Church today is what I call the “Dr. Feelgood” gospel because it is all about what God can do for “ME” and how God wants “ME HAPPY”.

The word “know” in this passage is the Greek the word “koinonia” which means “fellowship, intimacy, and intercourse”. This tells me that this “know” is not someone who has a head knowledge of Jesus or does what they have to do on Sunday morning, but this “know” is someone who actually spends intimate time getting to know Jesus in prayer and in the reading of His word. I took the time to breakdown verses 10 and 11 and it was very interesting how it read.

“That I may know (intimately) him, and the power (dyanmis = strength, ability, power for performing miracles, moral power, and the excellence of the soul) of his resurrection (anastasis = being raised from the dead), and the fellowship (koinonos = partner or a sharer) of his sufferings (pathema = one who suffers, affliction, misfortune, calamity, or the same sufferings Christ endured), being made conformable (symmorphizo = receive the same as Christ) did even unto his death (thnesko = die and to be dead); if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection (exanastasis = rising again) of the dead (nekros = lifeless, physically dead or spiritually dead). So in essence it reads like this:

“That I may know him intimately in the strength and power to perform miracles which was given to me because of Christ being raised from the dead, and that I might be a partner in the same sufferings/afflictions that Christ endured; being made the same as Christ even unto his death; if by any means I might attain being raised from the dead”

When I read it like this I have to ask, where did this “Dr. Feelgood” gospel come from? I will say it plainly, it came from the pits of HELL because nowhere are we promised the lifestyle that the false teachers are selling. Everywhere I look I see people saying “Bless Me Lord, Bless Me Lord”, but I ask why would God bless someone who would hide it in personal bank accounts or would consume it on their own lusts? The answer is He will not bless them, and another thing I know is that Satan will send false blessings to keep people in deception. These false teachers have gotten real good at stealing God’s money from God’s people, and 2 Peter 2:3 tells us that in the last days they would “…through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you…” or as another version says “In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money”. However, one thing about this version that is wrong is that is not “their” money that is being stolen but GOD’S! While to some people this may seem new, but this has been going on since Jesus ascended into heaven. As we have gotten closer to the return of Jesus it is has gotten much worse like birth pangs and the television is FULL of these liars and profiteers. Some of them call your money “seed”, but in reality it’s a clever word used to steal God’s money from you. It is interesting that these wolves never tell you to donate to anyone but them or the television station that houses them during their “Praise-a-Thon’s”. Those with discernment can see right through these people; however those who do not have discernment or want what these wolves have are easily led away by these false teachers. It is time that the Church starts calling them what they are and the Church needs to “Take a Stand” against these false teachers, preachers, apostles, and prophets because if not then many of our brothers and sisters are going to end up in hell with them and their blood will be on our hands. We have to realize that it does not matter if they call us “heretics” or spout the only defense they have which is “Judge Not”, and it doesn’t matter if they never speak to us again because OUR job is to get the truth out there. So how do you know who these false teachers are? Study up on them because before the Internet they could hide their false teachings. One great example of this is a very beloved Christian writer who infiltrated the Body of Christ by the name of Norman Vincent Peale.

In 1952 Norman Vincent Peale wrote a book called “The Power of Positive Thinking”, and Dr. Peale sold himself as a Christian writer for years but new evidence has come out that leads us to question who he really was. First, Mr. Peale stated on the Phil Donahue show in 1984 (go look at the transcripts) that you did NOT have to be born again to go to heaven and whether or not he ever recanted that statement I do not know, but the second thing that has surfaced about Dr. Peale is even more damning. Mr. Peale has now been found out to be a 33rd Level Freemason and his picture hangs in the hall of fame at the main Scottish Rite Temple. Since Mr. Peale was a 33rd level Freemason this puts him in an elite group of Freemasons known as the “Illuminati” or the “en ->light<-ened ones”. The Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 that “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ and no marvel for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works”. This tells us the servants of Satan’s WILL be “translated into angels of light” and we as the followers of Jesus must always be on our guard against these false ministers, and we must be ready to speak out against them. Paul would sometimes call them by name and sometimes he wouldn’t but the people he was writing to always knew “exactly” who he was speaking of and I call the ones I am speaking of the “TBN Gang” because that is where they reside. In addition, most Churches have no problem having their finances audited but the TBN Gang constantly refuses to be audited so what are they hiding? We should know that only people who love darkness hate the light of truth being shown on them so once again we must ask; what are they hiding?

In closing many people today who say they are Christians are in deep trouble because they have been totally deceived by the false teachers who have infiltrated the Body of Christ. Many people after they were born again simply started going to these fellowships because someone took them and they have no clue that they are being taught lies. Many other people however have allowed themselves to be deceived because they want what the false teachers have and that is called idolatry. I do not know if the TBN Gang can repent because there are greater judgments coming for ministers who lead the flock astray, but we must continue to pray for them. I have read where Kenneth Hagin Sr. recanted his “Word of Faith” message before he died so hopefully others will repent before it’s too late. We have to remember that many of these false teachers started off following Christ but for one reason or another they went astray. For example, Kenneth Hagin followed the teachings of E.W. Kenyon who learned it from Phineas Quimby. Then we know that Kenneth Hagin taught this doctrine to Kenneth Copeland who taught it too many other people over the years. Many people over the years were taught the “Prosperity Gospel” from someone and for whatever reason they never questioned it and just ran with it. The bottom line is that it does not matter how people got into this Dr. Feelgood gospel because our job as believers is to pray for them in the hopes that will repent. Also, many of the people have no clue that they are being taught heresy so instead of bashing them we need to use the Word of God to lead them back to the truth and we must always speak the truth in love…
